Aaron Wooley
Currently teaching – Tuesday and Saturdays at Mammoth Music
Aaron is from London and has been playing professionally since the age 16; he feels privileged to have made a living from being a ‘guitarist’ all his life. Aaron studied Jazz performance and arranging at the Perth Conservatorium in the mid 80’s. He has performed with various bands all over Western Europe: South East Asia: as well as all over the continent of Australia. Other places of note Cyprus, plus a 6 month residency in Tehran (Iran) before the fall of the Shah of Persia.
Aaron holds a diploma in ‘Modern guitar teaching’ from the London College of Music, and has taught guitar for close to 30 years, everyone from 5 year olds to 70 year olds. Styles taught: ‐ everything from total beginners – thru to intermediate level Jazz studies.
Aaron feels it important to teach a certain amount of theory and scale studies to all students – plus fun time learning songs of the ‘students’ choosing , and also working with ‘tabs’ etc. “I like my lessons to be flexible, to meet the individual student’s needs; I approach every student and every lesson with the same enthusiasm for their learning, In return I only ask that they practice, and try to the best of their ability”.
Aaron performs regularly as a solo artist 3 or 4 times per week in various venues around Perth and the South West
